Story

La Matera de Esther Establishment is a rural property on the banks of the Limay River offering country days with Patagonian flavor. Esther Toro, a reference in Villa Llanquín, took the family baton to open the 'matera' and share steppe life with visitors. The property combines camping, cabin, dorms, and coastline campfires to rest before or after crossing the river on the raft, with a privileged view of the river.

Community commitment

The visit includes homemade gastronomy with trout empanadas and roasted lamb, guided walks, horseback rides, fishing, and farm activities. Garden and weaving workshops are held to preserve family knowledge, and experiential tourism is promoted, funding improvements in community infrastructure. Each field day supports educational programs and the maintenance of trails and campfires along the Limay.
